I got my new Stiletto prop today. It had a note in the box that said the prop may wobble when first used but it will center itself after running it.
Anybody heard of this? Just wondering what to expect..

Re: New prop question

I've had three bay pro's now and nothing of this nature came up, but then again im not one to read instruction's............. Anyway's i did have a tight fit the first time i placed the prop' on the boat the thrust bushing was extremely tight actually took a block of wood placed it on the prop and hammered her home. Worked great after that.

What prop did ya get?

Re: New prop question

Thanks Tail Gunner, I bought a 19 pitch by 14.25 Stiletto SS prop. It was what Walleyehead suggested.
I was running a 20 pitch raker and my WOT was about 200 rpm or so low. I hope i don't lose much top end.
Just got my drive all resealed and ready for paint.
Wish it was warm weather..i'm ready to try it out..

Re: New prop question

i tried the 3-blade stilletto and it provided the best overall speed, but i am a old guy so ride quality is my top priority and the 4 blade's were a smoother ride.

Good luck, as to the weather bahhh its almost time for the steel head run here is you can believe that and to top it off i guess the walleye's are hitting .......... Canvas tops' and heater's lit...8)

I wish my boat was not winterized!:'(

Re: New prop question

I have run the stillettos on my boats, they are a good prop and a good valve for the money. I did settle on a Raker though, but now I am running an Enertia. All good props

Re: New prop question

I just changed my prop from aluminum to SS with the same pitch and size, because i heard that the SS does not flex like the alum-- therefore a higher top end??
