New SeaPro 150 HP (Fuel Ball Question)

Just purchased a new Mercury 150 SeaPro Outboard, the installation folks say a fuel squeeze ball is now longer required. They said if I want to add one that's fine, just not required.

Does this sound right?

Thanks for the input, just seemed odd for us old timers. But it does seem to work just fine.
