After looking for over a year at used, and at about 6 manufacturers for new, I finally have my new little aluminum 14-foot boat!<br /><br />Down here in Virginia, it's alot harder to find a good used semi-vee than it is a jon boat....jon boats ('prams' where I come from) are everywhere.<br /><br />So I settled on a Polar Kraft Dakota semi-vee w/ a 70" beam, and a little Tohatsu 9.8 hp 2-stroke. 57 lbs! I bought the engine close by so I will have good access to the dealer. The Polar Kraft is made at the old Sea Nymph plant in Indiana. Fit was a bit off in places, but I can't complain. Finish (paint) is great. <br /><br />Best of all, my spouse was fully supportive of the purchase!
