I have only seen this once before, did a spring run up, every thing ok. Two hours later boat comes back to the dock, with this lower end knock, milled around it for 1/2 hour. Just before I though it needed a tare down, let's have one more look leaned over the seat put my hand on the engine and when I did so my wrist touched the dip stick and I felt the knock. Pulled out the stick and saw the crank was hitting the stick, flipped the stick over reinstalled and away they went. Just before they left I asked did you do anything in the engine compartment, yes I checked the oil and five min later the knocking started.
GO figure right?.
