New spring leaf arrived..different from old one, okay to install on boat trailer?

I ordered two spring sets of 1750lb rating each, 4 leafs total per spring. However, on the old one at the slipper end, it has two leafs, as oppose to the new one having only one leaf. Is it okay to use the new one? On the trailer, the slipper end touches the frame, and a long screw right below to secure it from falling out. I think the rating are the same base on my 18.5 Mckee CC Pulse boat. Thanks.

I would think it would be just fine if the weight rating are the same or higher.

I'd agree with MH Hawker in saying yes they will be okay and work without problem. I have a question though. Why did you purchase new springs? From the looks of your picture, that old spring looks good...

I changed them today...it went on with no problems. Old spring looked rusted, so I figure just change them for safety.

I tighten the screw that goes into the eye just enough without bending the frame holding it and also allows spring leaf to pivots up and down. Not sure if you suppose to tighten the screw dead tight so nothing moves?. I assume not.

I changed them today...it went on with no problems. Old spring looked rusted, so I figure just change them for safety.
