I see Stiletto came out with this new prop just recently, I was planning on purchasing their Advantage-1 some time ago but I am glad I am a procrastinator! This new prop sounds more suited to my needs as I am running a 4 stroke and they say this new prop is designed for 4 strokes. What I don't get is the 4.25 diameter gear case housing? My motor is a 2007 Merc 90HP 4 stroke which I believe is running a 2:33 gear case? It states this prop is for motors rated between a 40 and 150HP? Is this the prop for me? I don't understand what they mean by a 4.25 gear case housing? (see below, from it's description here on iboats) Any help would be appreciated......Irv964

Excellent hole shot, strong mid-range acceleration, and top speed describe the Stiletto ADVANTAGE Q Stainless Steel Boat Propeller Series. This series gives you the advantage when skiing, carrying loads and in adverse water conditions. This is the choice for all around performance; its your ADVANTAGE. Stiletto props are made in the USA.
The ADVANTAGE Q series is specially designed for 4-Stroke, 40-150 horsepower engines with 4.25" diameter gear case housings.
ADVANTAGE Q utilizes the Stiletto Guardian Hub system

Re: New Stiletto Advantage "Q" prop?

4 1/4" is the measurement of the diameter of the "bullet" part of the lower unit housing.

Thanks Dhadley, I assume my motor will be this size?
Also, I see that the new "Q" is a 13 1/8 diameter and the advantage is 13 1/4? My stock is also a 13 1/4(13.25) Any idea why Stiletto would do that? Will this cause any issues?.........Irv964

It's not the difference in diameter so much as it's what they do with that area (1/16" at the tip on each blade). Since this prop is designed specifically for a 4 stroke you really can't compare it to a standard 2 stroke prop. Or a performance prop.
