Hi,
I recently purchased two head temp gauges from the Faria Coral series of Teleflex. I was very satisfied of my purchase and looking forward to the week end for the installation until I noticed a problem....well not a big problem but enough to demotivate me...
According to the specs and pictures from different websites, those gauges should be graduated 60 --> 220 ?F (big white numbers) and 40 --> 80 ?C (little blue numbers), see the first attached picture for details.
The problem is, on both of my gauges, the ?C/?F symbol is inverted. Therefore, my gauges are graduated 60 --> 220 ?C (big white numbers) and 40 --> 80 ?F (little blue numbers), see the second and third pictures for details.
Now, I know that this doesn't make sense, and that it's only a symbol "printing" error that will most likely not affect the performance of the gauge but still, I am disappointed...I was under the impression that Teleflex was one of the best gauge provider in the marine industry and now I kinda doubt on the quality check of the gauges. The retailer told me all the other gauges in his inventory were also "inverted" and suggested me te contact Teleflex directly...
Taking into consideration that I waited 2 weeks for those gauges, should I really send them back to Teleflex and wait like a month or two until I receive properly graduated gauges or should I install the one I purchased and simply never do business again with Teleflex ?
Opinions ?
-Thanks, Zudko
