Hello
So I just changed my chevy 305 from log manifolds to center-risers. The engine is a mercruiser 898, and the current thermostat housing has 6 water outlets, because there were 6 water inlets in the log manifolds and risers. The new center risers only have 4 inlets. Can I just cap off 2 of the inlets, or do i need a new thermostat housing? I see that all the conversion kits come with a new one, but I dont see that its necessary. I did notice that 2 of the outlets in the housing allow water to leave the intake manifold. I would assume not cap off these 2 outlets. Any thoughts?
Id rather not have to buy a new one if I dont have to..
