Hey folks, I just bought a boat, 16 foot 1970 "home made" fiberglass w/ a 1966 Johnson 40hp o/b (think it might need a bit of help)
I know practically nothing about boats/boating, I would love to get some info from fellow Charlotte area boaters that know a bunch more than me, anyone out there?

Welcome. I live in charlotte also. You will find many folks in this forum that will help with about any issue you have. By the way I checked several rams on lake wylie 2 days ago and the water is up and the rams are open.

Welcome to I Boats. :D

There's a lot of useful information here and plenty of experts to help you with any questions you have.

I suggest you take a Boaters safety Course and have your Boat Coast Guard inspected. Both are free. :)
