New to me 07' Merc 50hp Classic

Hello everyone! It's been about 6 or so years since the last time I was here. Glad to be back as everyone was very, very helpful with my last boat adventure. Just bought a 70 MFG with a 07 Merc 50 on the back. Ser# 1B448571. 2stroke/3cyl. Had a few questions if I may...

1. Any issues I should be aware of going in with this motor?

2. I'm looking for a complete water pump kit. I've searched for a part number with no luck.

3. Any recommendations on a tachometer for this motor?

I thought the " classic " 50 was a 4 cylinder.

According to my research, Merc brought back their 2 strokes in 90 an 50hp in 07' and named them the classic 90 and 50. I think they also had the 115 EFI as well. I certainly could be wrong. According to my wife, I have a 92% fail/incorrect/wrong rate. So I have that going against me

Merc brought the classic fifty back a long time ago (mid 80's to early 90's). basically its the ole 4-cylinder 50hp (flywheel rated) with the new rating system its a 45hp.

didnt know they re-re-brought it back. however in '07 there were both 2-strokes and 4-strokes

I have a 2008 Merc ELPTO 50 hp two stroke. Good motor! Water pumps are easy to repair, look for parts by serial number.
