Just bought a 2009 ebbtide cuddy, very excited to get back into boating! Been out of it for awhile and now have some money to spend, so here I go!
Got the boat after a nice trial in a local lake, ran good, temp hung around 175. They could not find receipts for winterization last year, doesn't matter as I can't operate inexpensive unit without putting my hands on it.
You can see the manifold in this picture, obviously needed to be replaced. Got lucky and pulled all six bolts out manifold came off gasket came off clean.
The amazing part was the chunks that came out of the t fitting underneath the manifold.
This picture shows, it was amazingly blocked. Boat has only been used in freshwater, I just found it amazing!

that is freeze damage to the manifold, those are inside wall pieces from your manifold. I would do a compression test on the motor and a cooling jacket pressure test as well.

get a new set of manifolds and elbows on order. only buy mercruiser or Barr. dont buy GLM or Sierra

Mercruiser manifold on order already, compression test on my next day off from my paying job.
Do you know if I can reuse the manifold mount bolts? Is there anything you put on the threads prior to installing? I did find torque specs elsewhere around the site, thanks

Ayuh,..... In freshwater, the bolt heads usually don't rust off, so, Ya, reuse the cleaned up bolts,.....
I coat the threads with Perfect Seal, or form-a-gasket #3,......

The crap pluggin' the fittin', Used to be cast iron,......

I’d hazard a guess that the manifold has had a repair job done previously, after a frosty incident.
