I just got this 1981 14 foot Alumacraft today and there is no plate on the transom or anywhere in her.Shes a nice boat in my eyes and the 'ol Fastwin 18 horse runs fine:D

Will have her out for the maiden voyage here next week i will let ya all know how it went.

And BTW its nice to meet ya all here in the Alumacraft forum:cool:

I just picked up an even older Aluma Craft this week, and had to call Alumacraft directly to get the name of the boat. If you can find the model number stamped in the aluminum you should be in business. I found mine on the rear corner of the transom. Good luck. By the way, mine ended up being a 1965 Alumacraft Bel Mar, very cool can't wait until the ice melts..... in about 3 months in MN :(

To me, looking at the transom and with the aqueduct transom. It looks like a Model FD with the optional bow deck.

Look on the transom brace for the stamped model and number. Alumacraft can then give you info.

If you would, keep us informed. And she's more than a nice boat!

Guys,

I did exactally that,i guess Nv. is not the brightest on the title issues,it says shes a '81.but i sent the numbers(i found them stamped in the metal finally, there were in a wierd spot, sort of under the middle transom support bracket) It turns out River-Runner is spot on:D shes a '67 FD with the bow deck option.

I had a feeling she was a bit older than a '81,but reguardless i am excited to get her on the water Thur. morning.

Added a better pic of the transom for ya River:)

Thanks for the picture, we appreciate pictures and congratulations on getting that boat! And it looks to be in very good shape and not altered. Your motor size is quite ideal for all around use. With a max. of 40hp for your boat year. Many members here with FD's, including me. Mine's a '68 that I bought new and I'll also run a 4hp on it for river fishing. You'll be amazed at what the boat is capable of doing and with its round (soft) chine ride. You'll not find a better built utility boat. If you have questions maybe we can help.

To see your boat specifications, Click Here. As member 2000vikings who posted here, has a thread going next to yours with their Alumacrafts. Thanks to leadpencil2, his post includes the 1966 Alumacraft boats specs. Shows the boats line up and your '67 FD would be the same.

I did not get her out as i pulled a rib out at work and after working much of the whole shift that way i was a mess after i got it re set the next day.

So it will be later in the week before i get her out on the Lake. But as the next thread is about the '66 and my FD is a '67 i am enclosing a pic of the spec sheet and pics of that years models i was able to find.

I just have abut everything set up on her.I still need to fix the Bimini top but cant find the brackets locally so have to order them from 'Vegas at Bass Pro Shops.

Like me, I see you also like the 2000vikings and leadpencil2 boats in their thread. https://xenforo-prod.iboatsdev.com/threads/457848/

So, thought I'd also show the "FD Alumacraft" dressed up to be a "Flying D".

It never fails, yesterday it was sunny and 60,well as of last night there is about 6" on the ground and its still comming down.So no maiden voyage till next week on my day off.

I am kicking around the idea of painting my FD,but i sort of dig the "natural" look of her as she sits,as its supposed to snow for the next 10 days or so i have time to ponder this, well that and i actually found one shop semi-local,that has the parts i need to fix the Bimini top,i will post pics once i get it fixed and set up on the 'ol FD:D

Your trailer looks like nine. A SNOWCO trailer. Low profile and with the small tilt bunk supports. I can launch anywhere with it, even on the ice to get to open water.
