so i bought the boat a month or so ago and thankfully was able to use it twice before it was time to winterize. the guy i bought it from showed me the front bilge and said thats where the bathroom shower drained into, i saw the bilge pump and float and never looked to hard at it or put to much thought into it until i went to winterize it on saturday. i popped the cover and found a black box off to the side with hoses running into it. pulled the cover off the box and it was filled with water, looks like the shower drains into this box and its supposed to pump itself out. obviously it doesnt work and im thinking this is something someone added on at some point. is this a common thing? i cant get the pump to turn on with any switches so im thinking it was wired only off the float, but i havent had a chance to check for power, im doing that tomorrow when i go to finish winterizing it. just looking to get a jump on it with some ideas/suggestions

Shower bilges are turn ON/OFF with a float switch. Need to see if power is going to the pump and float. Normally 12V runs to the float switch then to the pump. The same thing would happen if the float switch controlled the ground. Hard to tell clearly, but dose look like 12V (Brown wire) is being switched by the float
