Raised it high as I could go without installing a jackplate or modification to transom. Honda install says from 0" to 2" below...this should do it.

On your configuration, I doubt raising the motor will increase speed any noticeable amount. Pontoons have very turbulent water rushing between the tubes so engines generally perform best a little deeper to avoid that turbulence. I don't know what props are available for your Honda, but there are pontoon-specific props. These are generally called "elephant ear" props because the blades are large and very rounded. These props are also more efficient when trying to maneuver the pontoon in reverse as those large almost symmetrical blades have more bite in reverse.

You nailed that, Mr Silvertip. Raising the motor changed little...got maybe 100 RPMs and neglible, unnoticeable speed by GPS. It didn't hurt my case so there's that. The brown truck is bringing my 3" pitch change prop tomorrow. Maybe I'll see how that helps this weekend. Fully aware it ain't a speedy set up but just want get what I can out of it and make it easy on the little 25 by keeping it in it's comfy range.

Honda's are great little motors, however there are relatively few mounted on pontoon boats. Dealers are also few and far between.

I would suggest you make sure your carb. is opening all the way and that the engine's running right. This is required before you address the engine height or propeller.

Find a prop shop to buy from. Their expertise is free when you do business with them. You'll probably need the lowest pitch prop available for that motor, and it's going to have to be special ordered.
