I just bought a 1985 24' sun tracker party barge had it out a few times last month. Till the 82 75hp evinrude blew up. When I removed motor I noticed the wooden transom was junk. I replaced it with some more wood. Does anyone know if there is a place that makes all aluminum transom?
I also wanted to know what you guys on here thought about taken it in the ocean?
Thank you

We used 2 pieces of 2-inch thick wood screwed together covered with fiberglass and every few years I coat with poly.

most of the older boats transoms are 2 pieces of 3/4 plywood that lasts 20 years or so. slap in some new wood and hit the lake.
