Good luck! As someone whose just been through (is still going through) the process of restoration - Some non technical advice: Take photos every day - you'll be so tired you won't want to but you need them later. We have big gaps in our records

Re: New to the forum just got started on a major resto

Been away for a long while but i I am just now getting a chance to get started on my boat again. it has unfortunately been neglected in the back yard all summer and i am just now getting started on it. I have decided that the motor is going to have to come out so that the stringers can be replaced and possibly the transom. anyhow looking forward to getting back to work it with the exception of the itching. hopefully after the long hiatus i can hit the ground running and find myself making some great progress.

btw what is the minimum reccommended temp for mixing resin?

And keep in mind that 60F is not just the air temp needed, but the surface on which your working, too. If your boat is in a cold garage and you heat the garage up to 65F, make sure to allow time for the boat itself to warm up, or your resin may take forever to kick off (if it ever does). Same is true for the resin before you mix it, too. I would bring my resin into the house 24 hours before using it, to allow it to warm up.
