Hello all from Nova Scotia, Canada. I have just bought a 1974 18 foot chieftian, Love the boat, it has a 60 hp Mercury 1996 . I am hoping to replace with a n 4 stroke 75 or 90 hp

welcome to the insanity. i'd love to see pix of your new find as i'm still not clear on what an 18' Chieftain is....i'm assuming somewhere between a 19' Islander and the old Starchief? what did you pay for it, what are plans for it, etc etc.

Welcome my Canadian neighbor. I absolutely love Nova Scotia.

Seems we might have the same boat. Mine is a 74.
