Board is very out dated, the new technology is much better, shop around, good deals can be had on 2009 models!

As far as sizing goes, that setup would work fine for you. You'll want a board in the 140cm - 143cm range. But yea, it does look a bit old. And the guy selling it is probably full of crap saying that he put over $1200 into it. You can get new high-end setup's for $600-$700.

If you're just starting out, you don't need that though. You can get great deals online through store's outlet sections on prior year gear. A decent board/binding setup can be had for around $350.

Not to say that you can't find a good used deal out there too. Just shop around and be sure you're getting what you want and need. If you could talk that guy down to $80, you'd probably be getting a good deal on a setup that you could learn on, then progress to a newer/nicer board later.

Bindings for me seem to run small. I wear a 12.5-13" shoe but need the XXL (13-14) bindings. Its not soo much a problem with open toe, but closed toe. Try em on before you buy them tho.

I secodn tryign a pair on before you buy. I wear a size 13, but use XL bindings because my feet are on the narrow side.

You should be able to get a good 09 combo set up from a shop for abour $400-$500. Heck, I got a 08 Murray board (Hyperlite Pro Model) for $200 without bindings in the middle of last Summer.

Visit a shop, and don't be afraid to haggle on 08 and 09 equipment.

We had an older board given to us with cheap lousy bindings, so I took it to a board/ski shop and priced some couple of year old but new, decent bindings. They fixed us up for 150. The board is perfectly usable for beginners and has been used. I then purchased another board from them for the smaller riders, not current model but perfectly usable at a very fair price.
So this year had some ski's given to us with lousy bindings and yup, took them in and they are putting some boots on them! They are putting 150 retail boots from a couple of years ago, for 90 each and they will fit several sizes. Mounting, filling old holes, everything. These will be a great beginner ski and will last many years. Now I am thinking that the combos we bought with bindings with those slider adjusters, that kill your ankles, might just need an upgrade as well, they had some for 75 each including mounting, they were also 150 boots and will fit at least 3 sizes. Maybe next months paycheck, haha
I figure even if we use them a few years, they can be sold on craigslist for a decent price as nothing else out there in our area has decent bindings let alone boots.
