On a scale of 1 to 10,
10 being the Best.........

Bilgeliners are about a -1.............

Of the Sunbirds I've looked over,
I'd go as High as a 0.........................

They're Both "Entry Level" boats.........

The Least amount of Inferior Materials Possible, to create the Illusion of a Quality Boat.......

I've been sick for 3 days.................. :(
Boy, I Feel Alot Better Now................... :D

the resale value vs the new price of different boats gives a good idea of the buying publics opion of quality

it makes very littel sense to compare a 20 ft boat that cost 17000 dollars to one that could cost 30000 or more dollars they are built for different needs and both will make most owners happy and give a long life if cared for

a lot of people will only drive a mercedes but it doesent make my chevy a bad car just a different one

tommays

Re: New topic: bayliner vs sunbird

As an ex-Bayliner owner, I can honestly say I have no complaints on the boat I owned. I purchased it at a time when I was earning considerably less and it allowed me to get out on the water with my friends and family for many days of enjoyment. It was not an expensive craft nor was it the best constructed. It did, however, run flawlessly during the eight years of my ownership. It never required anything more than routine maintenance and never once let me down while out on the water. I can only hope my current boats do as well. Does this mean that a Bayliner is comparable to a Cobalt---of course not. It was not designed or built for the same type of customer. I do not believe any Bayliner was constructed to be used hard all day, day-after-day. They are really designed for weekend family boating with the occasional week or so spent on the water while on vacation. Considering their cost and design intentions I can not figure out why just mentioning Bayliner causes such vehement opinions on this site.

P.S. There is no reason to poof this! I am entitled to my opinion and I have not been offensive.

EDIT: Sorry, FSN. I don't agree. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but you must not insult other members on this board.

Sorry code p1mp and others not itching for a fight.

This thread has required too many edits and deletions and some of the remaining posts are borderline.

Luna Sea wins his bet.
