Actually, the closer you get to the correct engine heigth, the less trim will be needed, but this is also the time to be looking at the next step of going to a higher quality SS and let the prop design do more of the lifting...That's the point I believe you are at.....

Your right I think I have gotten all I can get out of this setup. What would you recommend I look at for a ss prop?
As always thanks for all the help.

I "think" being mounted to the transom, you're still not too high for a Turbo 1. 14-1/4" diameter, but very hard bitting prop. I've run a 15-1/2X15 on my 200 playing for a trolling prop, and I'm sure I was able to run the T1 higher yet. The OMC 15.5X15 is not a super good design, unlike the 15X17 OMC, but I think a T1 would do quite well, and likely add some lift, so we may need to test run one and then have one tweaked by Precision to keep the RPM where needed.

It's always to error on the low side if buying only one prop, that way cup can be added to increase efficiency if needed...Now, with that being said, Turbo will allow you to run a prop and for 20-25 bucks, you can exchange it for another pitch, or they can tweak it to best fit your needs.
I'd like to get Dhadley's input on this beings we are dropping an 1-1/4 in diameter....Before we do anything, let's get him to make some suggestions if possible.

Re: New Toy not enough rpms

Ok I just did alittle more digging into my problem with getting the rpms up and of course it is not good news I am the proud owner of another key west that has hook in the bottom. If you look in the key west fourm on iboats you will see another one.
