First Show :

Is the percentage of Canaidians not knowing all the words to "Oh Canada", greater than the percentage of Americans not knowing all the words to "The Star Spangled Banner".

Crying shame listening to a group of folks singing at the start of a football game who don't know the correct words to their own National Anthem. Another crying shame: Canadian Football - back to you N-B-N. :p

Top Ten Ways To Make Hockey More Interesting:

10. During playoffs, players dress up as their favorite Ice Capades character
9. Canadians must play in bare feet
8. All penalty minutes must be served sitting next to that guy who played "Doc" on "The Love Boat."
7. Just barely visible under ice: frozen body of Walt Disney
6. Replace Zamboni with Cadaillac Escalade
5. "Your New Jersey Devils starting goalie--Miss Katharine Hepburn"
4. New snack bar item: player's missing teeth dipped in fudge
3. Every team roster must include one lesser known cast member from "The Love Boat"
2. Only guys named Stanley get to wear a cup
1. Let Michael Jordan take a crack at it

ps - Funny on your choice of wording "sport of 'Kings' "... isn't the "Kings" where the Grand Mogul of Canada - El Presidente Gretzky went to earn some real cash?

pss - Peter, you can be our "Ultra-Conservative counterpoint" on the Naughty-Moose Show

Why noy call it "Mooses Backyard"
and play the "Star Spangled Banner" along with the crossing of M16's on screen. Followed by an instant cut to a Canadian presenter talking about the Halibut catch of the year.............
Ross

PS I think JB may have something to say about this.......

I'm a Florida Cracker, so don't know much about ice fishing and catfish bazookies...The catfish we have here are too nasty to clean, much less eat (tho many folks do). We have catfish down here that walk from pond-to-pond, using thier dorsal fins as sort of legs!
We should maybee save that tidbit for the conservational portion of the show tho.

But I got some southern ideas for a boating show iboats could have ...You and Moose could do the northern fishing stuff, and Dhadley and I could handle the southern version. We will do stuff on how to get a boat thru a manatee speed zone without getting boarded...Or, how to swat mosquitoes while holding a fishin pole in one hand, and a brewski in the other (trust me, it takes finese!)...
And how to spot FWC agents posing as real fisherman.

Re: new tv show

that's the spirit boys! now if we could just figure out how to sell this concept to advertisers we could all get rich and buy the boats of our dreams!

no john boats, tin boats, or prams allowed. the boat must be capable of atleast 80mph to qualify. of course moose and i will have to personally test each one to ensure they meet the minimum standards.

tune in next time as we test the highly anticipated, long awaited, very overdue and all new 8 ft, armour plated gator boat equipped with not one but two m-16's, a supply of grenades and a 12qt cooler for all your beer and a sandwich (on second thought, forget the sandwich... through in those last 4 beer!)

on behalve of moose miller, i'm n-b-n saying thanks for watching!

You guys need a technical talk section.

Sloopy could explain his rocket powered Jon and his turbine powered 9' Boston Whaler on nitro. :)

An..an..and we could all buy big trucks to tow them with.......

How about a South Pacific portion on the Big Three (catch a marlin, shoot a dear and land a trout in one day).

or

a film clip on a boat race between Larry Elisons "Katana" vs anybody with a boat big enough? All filmed on the Waitemata Harbour.

Ross

Re: new tv show

n-b-n and m-m, just bring your film crew up here and we will show you what it's like to fish and shoot the Kentucky way.
We fish and shoot at the same time.
We fish for bass and shoot turkey all from our high powered[150hp] 12' jon boats.
One thing is for sure, it's a pretty tricky to fish  and to shoot  in one of them. :D

Re: new tv show

I think Sloopy and I should head up the "do it yourself" portion of the show.

We could also have the girl of every show on our five minutes....We'll call her the "The Shady Lady" and at the end of the year we'll put out a "next years" callender.

Who's gonna do the Weather?

Shadywood.

Calendars been done.

See http://www.womeninwaders.com/

I want in on the Canada portion. I'll start by explaining why the CFL is better football than the NFL. Any American who thinks they can outswat a Winnipeg born when it comes to Mosquitos can challenge me in the blood drive portion of the show and we end every segmant discussing whether it is harder to fish and shoot at the same time or for a disabled guy to haul in an 18ft fish (Rick Hansen wheelchaired aroung the world and is a local supported of the Sturgeon fishery).

No vehicles that gets over 10mpg (using real Canadian Gallons) allowed except as speed bumps.

Oh. And we use Rick Mercer for any outside interviews.

Ross,

The "trifecta", great idea. We could have regional trifectas.

Also, I like the fishing and shooting. Where I come from it's called: "cast and blast".

Doesn't everyone have an over/under in their rod locker?

Djohns19,
I can't take any credit for the "trifecta" idea. Down here it's been going on for many many years. I think the record is below 6hrs now.
Often they start with Marlin and as soon as the fish is landed a helicopter takes them to the forest for the deer then to the rivers for the trout.
I have always wanted to give it a go and some of us have our own version of it with snapper, pig, and either trout or fresh water eel.
It's much fun.
Ross
