New vinyl on motor cover

is it as easy as it looks. I have a lot of cracks in orignal can I wrap over or just replace it?

Hello, Don't forget to use marine grade vinyl. The regular stuff sold at the fabric shop will not hold up to Saltwater, UV rays and cold weather when stored outside. The result will be fading and cracking. You can pick up the marine kind at a marine supply, an upholstery shop or possibly at a place that makes boat covers, convertible tops or sails. Use monel staples when reattaching and not regular ones. The plain steel ones will rust away to nothing! Monel staples can be had at Home Depot. They are packaged in the same Arrow Staples box with a pink and white "monel" sticker on them. Good luck!
