Or new to me. Just got a 1995 valiant with the 5.7 mercruiser. My first I/O so I am learning. Had a fishing boat before. She needs interior work but she is solid otherwise. Look forward to being on the iboats forum and especially the VIP'er forum.

Small world...I just purchased a 95 Valiant with the 5.7 also, except mine has the yamaha outdrive. Major issure right now is the speedometer doesn't work, after some research on it, I finally looked at the outdrive and the tube coming from the speedometer down to the pitometer is missing the piece that connects the two. I'm in the DFW area...

nice to hear from some other guys who have valiants. heres mine got last year, 97 merc. 5.7. ive put a lot of work into her, including the tower

JB, I like that Valiant.. looks good with the tower. I have been on the look out for a tower and wondered how they look on VIP's even though mine is 7 years older and has cool metal flake and salmon color paint job, i still see they have some simular lines...
