I replaced the exhaust kit on my 1995 5.7 Mercruiser with this kit.

Everything fit as appropriate, I was wondering during the repair the difference in the new Elbows? they have a tiny brass plug at the top and a big brass plug on the backside.
It appears from the inside that the tiny brass plug has a hole that runs through the exhaust at the top. Is this correct? I haven't run the engine yet, but wanted to see if the repair/parts were correct from the experts?
