I am looking to get a bayliner boat in the near future and want to know if it is worth getting a used one. I have been reading about what to check for in a boat and have very little idea about how to go about any of this. I am somewhat mechanical and if I can fix it with some help from here, I can probably get it done.
But I see how much the new ones cost (160 for around $12,000) and wonder if its worth getting a used one. I want to save money, but I also want to be able to use the boat often. Down here in south Florida I have time all year long, I want to wakeboard a little, fresh and saltwater fish.
A big problem I have is that I have a 07 Nissan Frontier SE 4cyl 5speed Manual with about 3500lbs towing capacity. I think it should be fine for a 16ft (which I want) but I want to make sure. I also want an outboard, but I see a lot of I/O used bayliners out there. I just want to know what you would do, in this situation? There seem to be PLENTY of cheap bayliners on clist and I get soo tempted sometimes.
