New water pump not working.

I have tried Everything I can think of, had my '87 15hp apart Numerous times, can't seem to figure out why pump isn't working. I've flushed all the lines, and made sure impeller is in place, pin also. I'm Hoping someone can give me some ideas what could be wrong.

Using a barrel or muffs? Motor has to deeper in a barrel that you think.

Using ears with Plenty of water pressure.

Very hard to put one together that does NOT pump.----Best put it on a boat or in a test bucket with water 8" above the impeller.

Kinda Strange, I even pulled the foot,and put on muffs, and water only coming out pump overflow.

Kinda Strange, I even pulled the foot,and put on muffs, and water only coming out pump overflow. I'm going to pull the pump back apart tomorrow and investigate Deeper. Gotta watch the Florida vs LSU game tonight. LOL

But, but the shaft must be rotating to let water through the pump !!

drop the lu put it a large bucket of water and spin the drive shaft...with a drill
doest it pump or not ??

im betting the upper water tube grommet has some sort of crisis going on. impeller key installed correctly?

Problem.Solved. Disassembled the pump and found Key had gotten out of alignment/ out of place. Gotta use gasket seal to stop leaks. It's spraying from the front of LU.
