Hi, Replacing old winch to a new Fulton one, and when I went to install the new one, it was about 1/4" wider on the sides than the previous version. From everything I've read this Fulton 1800# winch is a pretty standard setup (holes, etc), does this matter that it's a bit over on each side or should I try and find a different winch?

if the holes line up and it bolts in place, then you are good to go.

doesnt matter if the width is 1/4" wider or 1/4 mile wider if the holes line up and you can bolt it in place.

Yeah... about that. The old winch only had two bolts (top and bottom) like a "I", the new one has a triangle shape (2 on the bottom and 1 on the top). So I will need to drill a new hole. According to most of the winch's I looked at the triangle shape is pretty common..
