Hey guys, my name is Alex Jackson, 19, Northern Indiana. I am new to this forum, but not new to boating I've grew up on the lake my whole life and know a little bit. I recently purchased a new project boat: 1961 Chris Craft Constellation 30, she has twin 327 Chevy's. I am new to resoration and would like some input or advice on where to start, what to watch out for ect.

Things I have notice that need attention so far:

?replace the plywood of the top of the cabin, repaint, drain old gas from tanks and lines, new mast, new electronics, radio, sounder, ect

Thanks for your time, and help in advance!

How do I post a picture without using a link?

I just love the boats, I didn't want a tiny one, I plan on living on it for a month or so during the summer. It's my first wooden one, I've had 1 glass and two aluminum.

Hey - Good luck with the project - I am currently completing a restoration on a 1965 Boston Whaler that my late father bought the year I was born and when the boat was only 4 years old. It has been in the family ever since and I finally got around to putting time and a little $ into it - Good luck on yours. Check out my pics I downloaded on my last post on here to see before and after of mine if you want!!! Happy boating

Hey Alex. Welcome aboard!!! Cool boat!! I love Connies.

I have resized your pics as we like to keep them to a max of 640 x 480. Helps with page width and side scrolling. Also I deleted the other thread as this is the right place to have these pics. You'll get lots of good advice here. Good luck!

Hello Alex..

I recommend rebedding Everything you can.

Check All through hull fittings and seacocks and update them.

Bilge and wireing next... blowers etc.

Paint last :) .

YD.
