Just bought my first boat-- a used 16' riveted aluminum with a '91 Johnson 60. <br /><br />Can't believe the amount of knowledge and useful advice on this forum (even though much of it is "greek" to me), and wanted to ask a simple question:<br /><br />What simple things--maintenance,etc., should I do to extend the life of the motor and to ensure trouble-free operation? Conversely, what should I avoid doing?<br /><br />I know that this is a low-level question for the experts here, but this mechanically disinclined newbie would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks.
