I just bought a new to me Hurricane Fun Deck 226. I noticed the top of the drivers seat hits the bimini top whenever I swivel the chair, and it has worn a hole into the seat cover. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to prevent it. I'm going to have it fixed and I was wanting to prevent it from happening again. Thanks

Re: Newbie- Drivers seat hitting bimini top on FunDeck 226

I've got the same model - mine is a 2005 226 FF - this seems to be a design flaw. Also, I find the seat is too close to the console so I am always bumping the switches with my knees and turning off the depth sounder, stereo, etc. Can't move the seat backwards since the space is too tight from the seat back to the adjacent bench. I have considered putting a marine plywood plate under the seat to raise it up an inch or two so my legs are more comfortable -- I think this may fix my problem and also the rubbing problem on the rail. I'll upload a pic if it works!
