Oil looks relatively clean. Like others had said, no way you got water high enough to get water in the oil. Starter is only possible issue but if water didn't reach it then no worries at all. High oil pressure reading 99% of the time is bad sender. Since you just boat boat I would change oil and filter to ensure it is proper oil viscosity and so forth. Two things are unrelated IMO.
Go enjoy your boat.

Yep, the oil is fine. Almost certainly a sender or wiring problem.

Re: newbie error - update, high oil pressure

After the reasurring from here and from a local marina, we took the boat out for the day saturday, was a perfect day, the boat ran great all day, although the gauge did still go into the red under moderate- heavy throttle. fairly certain it is the sending unit.

I do believe the starter is starting to die, it took a few/lots of cranks to get the boat going when launching, after driving around the lake a bit and stopping for a while and starting it started right up though, not sure whats up with it. just get nervouse it wont start and leave me stranded, although it was fine all day, only the first start was tough. battery is strong tho.

Re: newbie error - update, high oil pressure

I know usually leaving the throttle open (not in gear) about 1/4 helps my cold starts a lot, or whenever I haven't started my engine for a few hours. I usually have to crank my engine 2-3 times before starting on cold starts without using throttle, but one crank when left for about 5 minutes up to an hour. Is this a new problem for you since the water entered the bilge? Or has it been like that since you got it?

The starting issue is not starter related.
If the starter cranks the engine then the starter is fine.
P.s. Post more pictures!

GM marine engines are notorious for their oil pressure swings. Start 'em up cold and you'll see very high pressure. Run 'em hard for awhile and you'll see the pressure drop when you return to idle.

As long as the gauge indicator stays between too low and too high, you're fine.

Sound like you never even got it warmed up... It is common for cold oil to give a high pressure reading...

do you give your throttle a stroke or two in neutral to give the accelerator pump a few shots?

Makes cold starts much easier if your choke is not quite right.
