I just purshased a 1983 wellcraft with twin engines and the port side motor has a knock in the bottom. I am looking to swap the motor. Looking to get a truck motor. What motor should I look for????? I already know i need to put in brass freeze plugs and swap everything over from my block. Just need to know what block I need???

you need the 1979 to 1986 Vintage motor for a clean, No Problem swap.....

Any other Vintages Can be swapped,.... But there'll be Other Fitment Issues to deal with......

What should I look for, I read posts about 2 or 4 bolt main and the rear seals. I dont want to get the wrong motor. Thanks

You don't need to worry about 2 or 4 bolt mains - and if you get the year range that Bondo mentions you don't need to worry about the rear seal differences. (In case you're still worried, just get what you have - if you have a two piece rear main, then get a block with a two piece rear main)
