Hey all!!

I have a new to me 2005 proline 19 sport center console.

I literally just finished sorting out some electrical issues, and then installed my gps/fishfinder transducer. (there was an older transducer bolted to the transom,b ut the wires were cut under the helm)

I spent the afternoon fishing my transducer wires up to the CC(not fun!)

I simply bolted my transducer on the transom, and ran the wire up to the top of the transom, and squeezed it through where all the steering cables/wiring harness went through the big rubber nipple...

When all was done, i was removing the old transducer and wire, which had the wire going right through the transom, 2" down from how i cleanly installed my new on.

I assumed the wire was drilled through, and i could seal and replace a screw in the whole. (bad assumption!)

There is a 3/4" hole drilled through my transom!! right at where the water line will be!!

can anyone advise me the proper way to fill this hole? I thought of just fill it with 3m 5200 white, but there has to be a more proper way to do it..

thanks in advance!!

Use a 5/8" dowel cut just a little shorter than the depth of the hole. coat the hole and the dowel with 5200 and plug it. Smooth it out on both sides and go have fun.
