i'm a newbie again. brief bio: situated in ontario, can, on the bay of quinte. semi-retired business owner. one of my employee's will be with me 20yrs next month. i like to give them something for the occasion rather than the normal watch or money. he likes to fish and his very old 6hp motor just gave up so i snooped around and found a 4yr old 8hp yamaha that has never been started at a very reasonable price, guessing on that. 1200.00$.
my ? is, the guy didn't have a tank for it and i have on older merc tank around here and i am wondering if it can be converted to run the newer yamaha. it's not a real big deal but if it can be used why not.
