Plains, if you get a good tandem axle float on, you should be fine. Stability will be worse than having your wheels 8.5' apart, but if you watch your corners you will be fine.<br /><br />The thing is with the drive on models is that you need to power on to them. If your motor ever dies and you want to trailer it, forget it. The float on you can launch and retrieve literally anywhere.. Power or not..
