Flares LOL (flowers) + a bottle of wine and take her out for diner. Works every time.

I dont' know if it counts as jewelry, but I gave my wife a bear bell for Valentine's day (we're going kayaking, camping, hiking in Alaska this August). She really got a kick out of it, but we're both a little "off-center". 20 years and counting, though.

Man...first of all, I realize you already bought the gift, but if you are clueless at this stage, you are gonna' be screwed in later years!

FWIW...(16+ years) my wife LOVES to get new appliances, and frowns on jewelry. I have given her plenty of nice bling, and she likes it well enough, but it sits...unused...in her armoire. The nice, new, high end appliances...big and little...get used constantly. And she appreciates the fact that they make her daily life easier, and that I thought about that before I bought them. She sees her appliances in her kitchen like I see my tools in my garage.

As for ex-wives I'd suggest a cute cuddly badger. Unmarked box on the front steps.:D

You guys are hilarious!! :D

Well as a woman who loves to fish, one of the best presents my spouse ever gave me was a day long guided fishing trip with a Musky pro. What fun that was, the two of us, with our guide, no kids hitting the water all day long. If she really likes to fish and you like to fish, this may be an option.

If she is only faking it *(yeah we do that sometimes  ;)) as in fishing (sheesh), well you will know by the look on her face and the grimace there.

Seriously, you could throw all the shiny bling in front of this trout, I wouldn't bit, I wear a wedding ring and that is it...now give me a bass boat and I'm yours forever, well in this case, my hubbies

As was said before, we are all different, good luck!!

meanwhile I'll just back out of the conversation, feel like I intruded into the lockeroom....
