Re: Newspaper Delivery Vent/Rant........
One of my joys of each morning was my paper and a cup of coffee. But the costs kept rising, and the paper kept getting smaller. Delivery was spotty at best, and if it wasn't there when I left for work, then if I didn't call by 10:00 am then they wouldn't delivery another paper. Slowly all my neighbors stopped taking the paper, until I was the last.
Finally I took a plan that charged my cc each month, $8, for Sunday only, and their internet edition. Then without notifying me, they raised the price to $12. I considered that move to be theft, pure and simple. I dropped my subscription, and get online local news from free sources. Now I have my coffee in front of my computer each morning.
To the OP, I think you were very patient. Regardless how early, how thankless the job is, if they can't get the paper there, then you are paying for nothing.
