Don't know if this has been posted before, but I though it was pretty cool. Amphibious motor home, showed as $1.2 million but starts at $850,000. Powered by a big cat twin turbo diesel which can be shifted to run twin 19" props once in the water. There's tons more info around on the site, kind a pain to browse though.

I remember seeing an RV boat back in the 1980s while I was shopping for an RV of my own. It had a boat that drove right up onto the back of the unit, then docked and locked down tight. On the road, it was an RV, but you could back it down to the water and launch, leaving the RV behind as a combination vehicle and trailer. Odd looking, but interesting.

When it was all tied together on the road, it was pretty neat looking.

Does anyone but me remember the SeaCamper?

It doesn't look very practical to me. I wonder how corrosion resistant it is. Could you use it in salt water?

I'm sure you could- for a few months, anyway. :D

My take on "multi-purpose" things in general- yeah they can be used for more than one thing but they usually suck at both.

The only ones I've seen that actually MIGHT be good at both are the Gibbs Aquada and Humdinga.
Too bad they're so freakin' expensive. http://www.gibbstech.co.uk/aquada.php
