Re: NFL Week 7

If frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their *****e$ going up the stairs :D

I think every team has "what ifs" in their seasons.

All I care about is Steve Breaston getting me a few more points so I can win my money league this week.

Exactly, hence the "coulda, woulda, shoulda"......

Typical of a homer. Ignore the stats, who got it done when it mattered, and the scoreboard (let alone the 6 Super Bowl victories), yep the Vikings are the better team. I guess we'll know for sure in February.
Now I am not saying the Steelers will be winning the Super Bowl again in February, (as a matter of fact I see them losing in the first round of the playoffs, maybe missing the playoffs, if they don't get a real ground game), but I am saying "the Vikings won't win the Super Bowl, they won't even get there." There I put it in quotes so you can find it in February, if you still want to talk crazy! :)

Such hatred against the Vikings. Take a deep breath, it's only a game.... I just want Brett to beat the Pack at Lambeau. Then the rest of the seasons wins will just be gravey...

Re: NFL Week 7

Once again the Patriots had no problem wining since the game was against Tampa. Not to much to add since this week and last weeks game was boring. I watched most of the Minnesota and Pittsburgh game.

Yep, your Patriots destroyed us. I can't argue that point one bit. The ONLY bright side is that we didn't lose 59-0, although they probably let us score our only touchdown to make the crowd feel like it was a game. Man, I hate rebuilding years, here I am in Ohio, wearing my Bucs gear, and I feel like piling it all up, pouring some gas on it, and throwing a match. The worst part is that we have a bye next weekend, and the BYE is the seven point favorite.:(

Giants appear to have changed their game plans in the last couple of games. Eli going for the riskier long passes from the get go instead of securing a first down !! They did not appear to get going till the 4th quarter when they started to play a little more like the Giants of old.
Pass it to Smith a little more often Eli !!!!
Luckily the Lions had no game this week.

No hate at all for the Vikings as a team. Just reminding their fans that they are not the best team in the league by a long shot. I thought the game yesterday would have proven that, but apparently some people can create their own reality?!

I checked the stats on the game, Vikes passed for 150 yds more than the Steelers, Rushing was about even. nowhere in the stats does show steeler are the better team. Luckier that day, clearly not better.

Alas you are right, I am a homer. Its been raining and 40 deg. here for the last month. What else have I got????:rolleyes:

BTW, you're the first to mention the vikings being the "Best team" was that a fruedian slip? Did you dream or wearing a purple and gold #4 jersey last night??:Dlol

OK then, using your reasoning the Ravens are one of, if not the best team in the AFC.

Hello, it's more than stats that make a winner. Did you perchance see the Indy/Miami game???

I would say the Ravens are as good as the vikings. They are both above average teams with potential to win any game, against any team. So of course its more than stats. Is it luck?

Ravens gutted it out against my team. I guess the most important stat is the record 6-1. Does that make the vikings better? no.

BTW, 6-1 is the steelers Superbowl record. Did you know that? Vikings 0-4. Does that make the steelers better.

Through history, then yes.

I guess this is why they play the games every week, on any given Sunday...:D

Re: NFL Week 7

My NY Giants have sunken into the mediocre ranks. They have lost their identity. No ball control, no secondary= no wins. Time to turn things around. I went to the game and didn't get home till 3am since the Yankee game let out 1/2 hr after the Giant game. Bumper to bumper traffic at 2am through the Bronx and Queens. Only in NY..... Coulda went to the Pats-Bucs game in London by boat and gotten home sooner.

As I have been pointing out since seeing them week 2, the Saints be the real deal.

Jets are really gonna suffer from losing Washington and Jenkins.

Looks like 2-3 hot teams, 3-4 real dogs, and everyone else clogging up the middle.

There's always next week (till January)!!!
