Jerry,<br /><br />All FICHTS need the open end of the gap to be within 90 degrees either side of facing the injector. You want the fuel spray to go thru the spark gap for better ignition. Indexing is really easy once you do it. Torque all the plugs to 15# first, then any that are not in the correct position (within 90 degrees) will work in the opposite bank.<br /><br />The "pins" in the 60 degree motor are positoned to deflect the fuel spray from hitting the hot ceramic nose of the sparkplug, but the pins are the correct lenght to allow the fuel spray thru the gap.
