No not in a barrel. Or a boat. Thinking of driving there , 550 miles, just for the kids to see it. Any good hikes nearby? How is the road from Sarnia to NF? How about the OPP? I have a lead foot, especially when I plan to do this roundtrip in 48 hours. Thanks.
ps. # 4 over #99 anyday!

Re: Niagra Falls ?

Both sides of the falls have there nice spots and NOT so nice spots ;)

I would say the American side has some better hikeing trails that go down a HUGE wood pathway over the more dangerous spots to the base of the falls

Personally I think the Canadian side is better taken care of and more things to do.

Re: Niagra Falls ?

watch for OPP - they are our provinces tax collectors.... you can do anything illegal you want without inquiry ...... except speed.
(they have their tinted windows cranked up tight - no crime's evidance can penetrate the insulated shell unless by radar)
New laws that are being flogged as "anti-street racing", allow OPP to impound your car for 7 days if you are caught going >50km/h over the limit. It has nothing to do with racing or any other dangerous driving activity, just speed...again radar is the new cop in Ontario..

cut people off, drive on the sidewalk, go the wrong way on a one way...no problem
but speed... and you pay big $$$

It was a great drive. 540 miles. One stop for gas. Two kids. Two laptops. No wife. No whining. The Ontario roads were fantastic. Kids are now hooked on Tim Hortons and tried to shake me down for a twonie to cut the grass! Oh, the falls were great.
