Enjoy!
I redid a '69 mustang a while back. Had fun with it at a local airport that used to setup the 1/4 mile on a runway.
The events were for support of terminally ill children.
$25, a safety inspection and you could run as often as you wanted. Just get in line.
All kinds of cars, trucks, even mini van grocery getters... what ever you wanted to run. So much fun!
There was also a car show on the side and concession stand.
We always had a blast and it was a good feeling for a good cause.
Eventually they shut them down. I think it was and insurance liability thing. Too bad.
If there were more venues for racing, drifting, etc., it would give people a place to get it out of their system instead of doing it on the public streets.
I saw on the news where they want to give street racers public intersections to play around. I forget where it was. Just build a track and give them a safe place to have fun. The local area will benefit financially.
