Nissan 25hp Problem another part

I have a 25hp Nissan Model 25C 1995. My problem is My motor is wanting to start and run for only a few seconds at the river. Come home though put it on the muffs and it will idle forever. I just had this motor completly rebuilt but the boat mechanic will be closed for a few days for new years and i would really like to duck hunt over the weekend.<br />Thanks,<br />duckslayer<br /><br />any tips or questions??<br /><br />I found the problem to the first part it was my hose suckin in air around the bulb.<br /><br />Part 2. While the motor was at the shop I had them replace the seals and everthing in the lower unit. They completly did that... But the lower unit is still leaking what can be causeing this? and i know forsure it is not exhaust sludge.

The idle is probably set too low on the carb, There is nobackpressure on the system when you run it on the hose, so....Set the idle up a little. Or, you have low compression on the engine.
