nissan 9.8 4 stroke short to long shafty conversion

I am looking to convert my 9.8 4s 2006 model to a long shaft using a kit from internet outboards. Is this an easy conversion using these parts or best left to a marine mechanic?

Anyone with average mechanical skills can do it. I would recommend using the Factory service manual as a guide. You will be changing the driveshaft and water pipe, in addition to lengthening the driveshaft housing (or changing for a long model housing).

But it's usually more cost effective to sell the present motor and buy one of the correct length.
