Nissan controller with unused wires question

I have a Nissan 30NSF A with a controller that has 4 open ended wires coming out of it. They are black, red, light green, and white. Are they to be used for gauges or a tachometer? I am wanting to install a generic brand tach.

I am not sure about your motor but I know that Nissan uses yellow wire for the tachometer signal.
