I have a Nissan NS90A outboard that I use probably atleast once every 2 weeks. Last time I took it to the lake I noticed water coming out of the cowling drain and when I removed the cowling water was spraying out of the outer Exhaust Cover Gasket. There is a place on it where it seems to have ?blown? out of the side. Water was still peeing pretty good even while some was spraying out of this hole. I have ordered a new gasket and plan on replacing it, but my question is do I need to replace the other gasket also? There are two, seperated by a plate. I?m wondering if the gaskets are crush fit and if I remove one, then will the other need to be replaced also? Or can I get by, by not removing the inner gasket and just replacing the outer? Also, is there anything I need to be careful about when replacing besides having clean flat surfaces and torqueing to the correct lbs? Could this have caused any damage to the motor?

No damage, will keep peeing until you change gaskets, be on the safe side, replace both gaskets and torque to specs. How old is that engine, probably announcing that you must change all gaskets as a maintenance issue, rather than a repair in a short time. Better retorque whole engine, you'll be surprised how gaskets subside with heat & time.
