Nissan/Tohatsu four-stroke, convert 2.5 Hp to 3.5

Hi; I am planning on replacing the Honda 2HP that powers my sailboat dinghy. I have narrowed the field to the Nissan/Tohatsu 2.5 or 3.5HP four-stroke. These models seem to have the same engine block so I am assuming that the extra 1 HP is from a bigger carburetor or re-jetting the same. If I go with the 2.5 and wish to upgrade in the future, how much work/expense will I be facing?

Just buying a new carb. You cannot re-jet it.

If you purchase a 2.5B, the upgrade carb will be 3GV032000M CARBURETOR ASSY, F3.5B $141.82, available from any dealer, including me.
