NLA Control Box Parts

I have been on the hunt for the Shift Lever Assy. p/n 0390610 and Shift and Throttle Plate Assy. p/n 0389266 which are both no longer available from Evinrude. They are used in a large range of Johnson/Evinrude Remote Control Boxes (Red Plug) and in my search over the last few weeks I came across alot of sites that used to sell them and made online purchases only to receive refunds and messages stating that the parts are NLA.
I did find out that a company by the name of RedLine makes a replacement part for the 0389266 which is p/n RL397272 which I found at only one Marine which is Holden's Marine Center, INC in Spartanburg SC 29303. The service/parts manager there said that he has them in stock and has no problems at all getting them. They sell them for $65.99 plus taxes and S/H. of course.

I have also been exchanging emails with Mallory Marine Retailers and they have both parts in their line of replacement parts but are in the process of having them re-tooled with another manufacturer. Should be done in 90 to 120 days. http://www.boatingbuddy.com/mallory-marine-parts/

i strongly suspect my warmup lever is worn to the point were it does not function any more ,would these parts address that?

They are key internal parts to the control box. If these parts are broken or warn (usually the first is the case) they will not line up to allow the "warmup lever" to move. The parts are not available through the link I about to post however there is a very good diagram that will show you the internals.

Have you tried boats.net for the shift lever assembly? (390610). That site is indicating that this is still available.

I am no longer searching for the parts. I posted this thread to hopefully save some people some time.

I did buy one from boats.net and I am still waiting for the refund to go back to my account. They have not updated their site to reflect that the parts are no longer available.

There is a company that makes the part u need the link below will take u to their site then just enter either the johnson/evinrude part number 390610 or the Mallory part number 9-71101. They also make a replacement part for johnson/evinrude part number 397272 which is Mallory part number 9-71100
