NLA Mercury shift shaft retainer

Part # 93878 what did people do to replace when none to be found and how did they remove them? I'm in a bind here is there after market or did they redesign for replacement

I'm having a hard time finding it in a parts diagram. Looks like it's for a 25 HP merc?

had to look it up.

if you knew the dimensions, you could get it machined from acetal or 3D printed out of CF reinforced plastic

Do you have the old one you can get dimensions off of? If so have someone who knows fusion 360 or solidworks draw it up. Then send it to a company to make. There are several out there that will quote you. You just send the file in the correct format.

no need to even draw it if you have one. they scan it and print from the STL file.

Was in the same predicament I damaged mine trying to get it out I finally figured it out I used paint can openers you slowly get underneath the bottom edge and slowly wiggle it out it took me 1/2 hour but it came out BUT I damaged it before I figured out so there is none to be found I finally did find one but it the whole shift shaft I bought it because the long shift shaft is also obsolete and I got it from Australia 🦘 and shipped to Canada
