NMEA data is almost always RS232 (standard com port) which uses one wire to transmit, one to receive, and one common ground. The "transmit" of one device must connect to the "receive" of the other. The cable shouldn't be more than 50 feet long, and it should be "2 conductor shielded."
GPS transmit = Yellow to radio's brown
GPS receive = Orange to radio's red
Common/ground/shield connected together.
The baud rates of both device ports must then be matched. The GPS manual says to call the factory to obtain the settings and learn how to interface devices.
